Diocesan Archives of the Anglican Diocese of British Columbia
During the late 1880s and the early 1890's a Chinese lay catechist was operating a Chinese Mission in the Victoria area. In 1925, the Good Hope Mission ( also known as the Victoria Chinese Mission) was established with Diocesan funding. A vestry of nine Chinese communicants was formed that year. The Mission operated until 1955. Some of the documents, e.g. financial records, were in Chinese. |

The Chinese Community Collection consists of business and personal correspondence and receipts, financial records, immigration papers, and documents pertaining to the Dart Coon Club and the Kuo Min Tang.
